Conceptualising ..The Migrain to The Migrant Voices
I'm sure our group had a helluva week since the 23rd of october till yesterday regarding naidu's assignment but somehow no matter how tiring it was..i enjoyed it and miss some moments of it..haha
Friday, October 23rd - The day we started commencement after our final details on doing a interview.The first day itself was crazy..went skool early morning with shobana after that we went to lil india for indian food at Gandhi's with quite a large group (Adam,Bryan,Wendy,Jelly,Natasha,Nick,Jason,Sanjay,Valerie,Jordan,Andre)
after which we had to rush baq to skool juz to get approval on the interview we're working on, then to dhoby ghaut and lastly Yishun to interview. At this point i shud also thank Sanjay for getting the people to get it done n over fast!!
Saturday, October 24th - nothing much juz went for some electronics fair at the Expo with my friends but ended up buying a laptop which came in greatly handy for the project...oh i watched the bollywood movie "blue"..i must say it was a disaster storyline..they spent 95million to rip off famous hollywood movie sequences!! lol
Sunday, October 25th - I was late for the appointment at TWC organization which wendy surprised me by getting in contact with them for the interview but we managed to somehow find the exact location and interviewed Ann successfully..i think her knowledge and experience in that field helped us save time from researching more on the net..i think thats y we wasted the remaining day at zam-zam and nasrin for seesha..lol
Monday, October 26th - We (Sanjay,Jordan,Wendy,Samuel) went to the Yishun Dormitory after having our lunch ..if sanjay wasnt there we'd be lost finding the place but i gotta admit it was a way looong walk to the destination..experienced the way they lived..Small place but a peaceful and happy one..the residents there are really well taken care of...
Tuesday,October 27th - Final few shots to be canned before throwing it to our editor...lol..hope nick and junn had great fun standing somewhere in the middle of a heavy traffic at Bugis Road, while we were laughin away crazy from far distance recording it but the best part was while recording wendy's portion as the host..took me a solid 1hr to modulate her voice accordingly but overall the final shot was juz great wendy!
After which u all left in the evening as planned (to meet up Jordan,Wendy and Sanjay for editing) at night 10pm, but was dragged till 12am and i was waiting for u all at queenstown Mackerz since 9pm!! Then again the good thing was, i wasnt bored!! I was kept entertained by a gang fight which happened behind the outlet..about 30 of em whacking the hell outta each and other. As usual standard fights, there were some casualties, followed by our daring fighters fleeing away upon hearing the police siren,then came the ambulance etc etc etc....it was all good..i had a great view of everything while i was chatting away on msn..
jason too made his way down from msn to mackerz to not miss the action and study for jailani's lesson...lol.. which happened after all of em was there n settled down to work at almost 1am till 7am!!
Wednesday,October 28th - To be frank..nothing was supposed to happened that day..all my grp member's k.o uncontactable for the day even tho we were supposed to meet at night only for the editing process...BUT
past wednesday 12+am, when I.. WAS ABOUT TO KNOCK OUT!! sanjay and jordan conference called me asking to meet as planned and while scolding them about the transport at that time came a 2nd call...from SEAH!!he wanted to join us to do his own editing work rather than alone at home and was willing to drive me where ever we're going..problem solved ..he came over picked me up , went to Sanjay'z place followed by seah dancing around in the middle of the nite for a toilet (managed to find one in the nick of time or else..BOOMZ)
picked katie up on the way and reached Admiralty Mackerz atlast to start on our work, then came another problem..JORDAN WAS NOT THERE and we cant start first as he had the editing software and video's with him and he lives only few blocks away whereas we guys from another end of the island were there already..he was an hour late after we reached,he dozed off and had the cheek to still come online msn instead of rushing down.Asked him "where the hell are you" and he replies "i'm cycling there".
u think ur cycle has wifi access to chat with me on msn is it? ...
we started editing at 3.30am..fiona was nice to come visit us for a while..we also came across a guy who seemed to be high on drugs thinking that i and seah was from Narcotics to spy on him...lol..he danced his way off to wherever his hallucination led him after somehow being convinced we were juz a bunch of miserable students figuring out to how to do editing..
by sunrise i was getting very drowsy...not even 2hrs of sleep in 2days..i dunno what happened after that we were laughing crazy for no reason or ryhme..It really disturbed the customers who came for breakfast hrs..hahaha
Thursday,October 29th - last day to finish wadever work we left before handing naidu the final copy..it was almost noon when i left admiralty Mackerz all the way back home juz to freshen up , sleep for an hour plus and went back out to finish wad we started..met up with Jordan, Wendy,Sanjay,Seah and continued with our work at starbucks(dhoby ghaut).the video's were coming out well..slow and steady...
jelly was nice enough to come down and settle the chinese translation for subtitles..sonia,bryan and fadzil dropped by for a while..it felt more nice to work with a bigger grp kinda atmosphere
highlight for the evening was messing up with Samuel..apperantly i knew from sonia it was his b'dae so i juz wanted to give him a good news by calling and telling him
"happy birthday sam..i cudn get u a present but i have news for u...ur out of our group"
i swear 1/2 an hour down disturbing him i felt the tremble in his voice.."almost cry rite samuel???" hahahaha
Anyway it was juz for fun..Happy Belated Birthday again
after which sonia and jelly left and the remaining us had dinner followed by Jordan,Wendy,Sanjay and Myself went to yishun starbucks...fiona..u were rite..its the
best place to do work outta all..almost every table had a powerpoint..the atmosphere was very lively we juz worked all the way till friday 2pm and left for skool to submit our final copy
I must say..it was the tiring week i ever had..less than 4hrs sleep n 3days but i enjoyed every moment of it.
jordan..no matter how good i tried to take the video's..it was ur editing that made the video more professional...sanjay for almost everything he did..
wendy for the concept and everyone else in the grp hu did wadever we said..even if it sounded crazy...lol...i hope i did my work well and didnt disappoint in anywayz..
